Steam traps can be divided into different types such as floating ball type, thermal type, and power type based on different working principles and structural designs. Each type of steam trap has different characteristics and application ranges. When choosing a suitable steam trap, you need to consider Key points below:

1. Type selection of steam trap:

- Floating ball type: The floating ball type steam trap realizes the discharge of condensate in the pipeline through the rise and fall of the floating ball, and is suitable for occasions with stable working conditions.

- Thermal type: Thermal type steam trap uses changes in medium temperature and pressure to achieve automatic drainage, and is suitable for high temperature and high pressure steam systems.

- Power type: The power type steam trap drives the movement of the valve core through pressure difference to realize the drainage function. It is suitable for steam systems with large flow rate and long conveying distance.


2. Key points for selecting steam traps:

- Working pressure: Select the appropriate steam trap according to the actual working pressure to ensure that the valve can work stably.

- Flow requirements: Select a steam trap within the corresponding fluid control parameter range based on the flow requirements of the pipeline system.

- Material selection: Select the appropriate valve body material according to the medium characteristics and working environment. Stainless steel or copper valve bodies are usually used.

By rationally selecting the type of steam trap and considering key points such as working pressure, flow requirements and material selection, the drainage performance and long-term stable operation of the steam system can be ensured, and the reliability and safety of the entire system can be improved.
